Role: Non-Functional Test Lead 

Experience: 8- 12 years

Location: Chennai (Presently Remote)

Employment: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working on a variety of performance testing projects on the Azure platform covering API, Front-end, and UI-based performance testing.
• Define, develop, and implement non-functional testing strategies, covering areas such as performance, scalability, resilience, security, and usability.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure thorough testing of all non-functional requirements.
• Led, mentored, and guided testing teams, ensuring efficient execution of testing processes.
• Analyze test results and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Identify, log, and manage non-functional defects.
• Work with project teams to understand the impact of new development on existing systems.
• Ensure that testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with other teams to continually improve the non-functional testing process.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a Non-Functional Test Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of non-functional testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Extensive experience working in microservice-based architecture, and event-driven/event sourcing.
• Experience with performance, security, usability, and scalability testing.
• 5+ years of experience with scripting and testing using JMeter.
• Ability to create reusable performance test scripts.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Operation Acceptance Tests.
